Throughout November and into December, Four Seasons Shopping Centre has been supporting Mansfield District Council’s Secret Santa Appeal, by providing a collection point for donations of gifts from the thousands of shoppers visiting daily.
As in previous years, customers, staff, members of the local community have been amazing with their support for the scheme – an annual event held by the Council, supported by Mansfield Bid and, for the first year, Mansfield Building Society.
Last year 1200 gifts for families with limited resources were collected, processed and then distributed into the community.
Members of the Council’s Appeal team, Hannah and Abby (pictured), were delighted to get the call from Four Seasons asking them to empty the box ahead of schedule as it was full to the brim before the end of November.
On 11th December students from Westfield Folk House will be helping sort out all of the gifts donated across 10 collection points in Mansfield, to ensure they all arrive in the right hands via a number of distribution points, including Food Clubs, Children’s Centres and Schools.
If you are able to donate a suitable gift for children or adults, you can do so at the following collection points until 10th December;
- Civic Centre Café
- Four Seasons Shopping Centre
- Ladybrook Children’s Centre
- Mansfield Building Society
- Mansfield Museum
- Mansfield Woodhouse Children’s Centre
- Ravensdale Children’s Centre
- Smyth’s Toy Store
- The Old Town Hall
- Warsop Children’s Centre
